Paul, maybe if you went in a school and volunteered for a time you would get an eye full. First how the teachers “try” to teach and then how many of the kids just sit and don’t listen or even try to learn. You have your facts wrong-the teachers put a good bit of their pay into the Pension Plan during their working years just like others put into Social Security so when they retire the have contributed to their Retirement. And if you think teachers get their health care paid for you are Dead wrong there too. They pay for it just like others who work for a Corp. so maybe you and others that are Bashing teachers best find out the facts. My husband was a teacher for 32 yrs and I can’t tell you how much $$ he spent on his own to buy supplies so the kids could do a project and how wasn’t making that much $$ himself but he did it to teach the kids.
