cubefarmer: Cartoons rarely follow seasons (and only a slight bit better at holidays); their trees are a separate species, but not that elusive. Mutts’ acorns are also ripe the year ’round. Squirrels will attack (and eat) green nuts still on the tree. They are already attacking my pecans, two months before they start falling.
