The Litter Box is a pretty good name. I’m kinda worried about the type of clientele she’ll attract though. Probably comics fans.
I love Mews’ pose in the last panel.
Hey Justin! I like today’s 3x2 format, it looks great. Gives you lots of room for detail and story. I don’t see how Mews would have had room to work out her straight line for the gag any other way. I think how you tailor the number of panels to fit the story is a definite Mythtickle plus. It gives you some serious flexibility. Is the background a new technique? It adds a 3D element to the comic. Very cool!
Gesundheit is actually sort of a contraction itself. Gesundheit is actually more of an American thing. Real Germans, in Germany often say ‘sei gesund’ or ‘bleib gesund’ which more properly means ‘be healthy’ or ‘stay healthy’. Gesundheit literally translates into healthiness or, more properly, health. The verb ‘be’ is implied.
Dypak: I like today’s 3x2 format, ……..Is the background a new technique?
Thanks Dypak, sometimes the gag just calls for more frames due to the proper pacing and hrythm of the joke. Yes, there’s no way it would have worked in 4 panels.
As for the background, it’s nothing special, I just make the lines gray instead of black so that the figures in the foreground would pop out. They would have been lost otherwise. That’s the result of too much detail on my part and a lot of the reason why I run out of time creating these strips and have to post ‘Classics’.
Oh, TMI?
TMI for sure! Here I thought it was some intricate artistic technique involving spatial distortion and resulting in a subtly nuanced 3D effect. And now you tell me it’s just that you ran out of black and used gray. Sometimes the myth should not be tickled or explained away! ;)
Oh, don’t fuss, Justin (and Dypak). Expedient or not, it still gives a very cool 3-D effect. Sometimes the best techniques are pure serendipity, and I hope that this one continues.
(It’s amazing what will push my buttons and what won’t in a comic strip, or in comments thereon. Anybody following my comments in various threads must think I’m nuts!)

Wow! Mews has ’80s “waitress hair” piled high tonight! At least she’s given Bastet a useful idea; maybe the goddess will favor her….

Bastet, you sure changed your taste in fashion since I met you at the British Museum. :))

Might not be hair…might be a scent cone, made of perfumed wax.
BTW, ‘Senebti’ does mean ‘goodbye’ or ‘farewell’ or ‘see you later’.

Lady Thornwood, I was wondering the same thing… From all I find, it must just be a proper name.

So…
Senebti means God be with ye? ‘Cause “good bye” is a contraction of that.
