    Common house spiders are not a problem. They eat other bugs, don’t make noise or large messes. If they get under foot, they get squished. If they trespass on the kitchen sink, they go down the drain. I don’t stick my hands into dark corners so I don’t risk surprising a Black Widow or Brown Recluse. The armistice continues.

    I am our chief spider catcher. I set a tall glass around the spider, then slide a postcard between the floor/wall and the glass. Works every time, and I never have to touch a creepy-crawly.
