i dont try to push any political point of view. i just try to write about topics that people are talking about, topics i hope they are interested in or can relate to.
Also, please remember its not ME talking in the cartoon, it is somebody’s boss making a stupid comment. He is just a character in a cartoon, not a self portrait.
Too bad more people don’t know Gary Becker’s work. He proved that pay discrimination, based on anything other than performance, gives a strong advantage to those competitors who discriminate only based on performance. The argument stuck with me 40 years ago, when I was an undergrad.

If employers could get the same work for less pay, you know they would. So they’re not going to pay a man more just because he’s a man (upper body strength excepted).

I worked in a place where a woman co-worker was paid more than me. She knew more and had more experience. It didn’t bother me any.
