I have actually have two Cochlear Implants … the implants are connected to computers and the internet for “mapping” (programming)… I have a remote to change settings (looks the size of my smart phone) … as an Engineer, I have no problem with web connections- I’d love to actually tweak my hearing response for music (how on earth do you tell an audiologist to map/program in key signature changes?). No one can actually hear the implant response but me and I can’t touch the programming device! Agony for an Electronic and VLSI Engineer ;-) Still, gotta love the concept in this strip.
