At least he’s making enough to support himself, so that’s successful. Now, if he plans on getting a wife and family, he may need to raise his sights a bit.
Once you have a decent shelter, enough food, etc, the rest isn’t going to make you happy. Finding a way to help other people have what you already have? , that will make you happy.
