Ok, I did not know books have shelves. How many can you fit into one book? Are they all the same size? Are they adjustable up and down? So much to learn . . .

Part of this storyline originated from the secret desire I’d had to work in a library. When I was a broke artist, I needed a side job to keep me afloat. A library was never going to pay enough (or I thought), so I took a job waitressing, which I did for a few years. I hated it (smoking was still allowed in restaurants! Remember those days?), but at least it allowed me to survive financially.

Working in the public library part time in high school was wonderful for me. I love books and I was spared waitressing or farm work. Because of that experience, I ended up workng the the graduate library at college as part of my financial package. Heaven!
