It doesn’t make any difference what the police can do. The media will make sure that no one has a iota of privacy, and the police can use whatever they come up with for evidence.
Convicting bad guys may have just gotten harder, but it is a matter of we’re not supposed to impact “good guys”. Electronics makes it harder, but remember, anything you post on line, or that can be accessed from on line, should NOT be considered “private” in any way.
