Our family has never been to Disney World or Land, even though we’ve been in Orlando numerous times. Too expensive! We have gone as a family to places like 6 Flags, Worlds of Fun, Silver Dollar City, where it wasn’t near as expensive to go on rides. Your kids will appreciate it if you can find fun in everyday activities. When we had a SUV, we often would take the “back roads” (dirt) to our home, if I had time and the roads weren’t muddy. There was a bump where if we were going our usual speed, we could get airborne for a split second. Other than getting the SUV a bit dusty, didn’t cost anything.Even though I’m the one who reminds them to do their chores, they say I’m fun to be around. Of course, I am the parent that taught them how to shoot rubberbands and fold paper airplanes….Find a way to have fun, without it being a big expensive thing. Your budget will appreciate it, too. Too many people think you can’t have fun without spending money.
