Avocation or not, Bessie says, “Hurry up, Nathan, before I burst, and not with pride!”

Good morning Ballard Dears. Thank you all for your well wishes. I was hospitalized since Friday with peritonitis. Exploratory surgery showed a perforated colon. I was lucky it was caught soon. I am on the recovery now.

If Nathan’s going to do this thing right, he really needs an assistant cat!

Reminds me of the movie “Kingpin” with Woody Harrelson. " I milked your cow…" Cracks me up to no end.

This from Yahoo Search._*Mt. Everest might have many names but three or four names are most common.

    1. English name Mt. Everest is given in the name of George Everest.

    2. Nepali name of Mt. Everest is ‘Sagarmatha’ (sagar means sky and matha means head) meaning ‘sky head’ or literally mean ‘Goddess of the Sky’.

    3. Tibetan name for Mount Everest is Chomolungma which mean ‘mother of the universe’ or ‘Goddess mother of the Earth’.

    4. Chinese name is Mount Qomolangma*_

Not going to try either mountain climbing or milking. . .

I was notified (after getting the house ready this morning) that next open house will be a few days later because his brochures were not printed yet – and I already put away the sewing machine.

I did not want to spend the day at mall as planned, but being out of my favorite spirits, I bought more gin, Sessions black and a bunch of stuff for better margs. I mixed a great batch of the latter for my supper (before and during) so, feeling good. I just need a few groceries so I’ll pick up nearby (at my Albertson’s).

Glad to hear Shika is getting better (wishing you a healthy c).;-D

I guess I should let you know what happened briefly-

I went to the walk in clinic Friday at 5:00 pm and left at 7:30pm in a taxi for the hospital, which the doctor paid for. He thought it was a ruptured appendix, but it was a perforated bowel. The appendix was tucked behind something, so he left it, as it is healthy.

I was on a clear liquid diet for three days, plus intravenous and antibiotic drip the whole time after exploratory surgery. I was discharged at 2:00 pm on Canada Day, or Tuesday. I am in bed now. Finally in a quiet place. My room was like a zoo with loud talkative people. I am going to follow up with the surgeon in two weeks and then with a colonoscopy in the fall to see if they missed anything. I am a little wonky, but I suppose no more than usual…

    Good Night again!

@Shika, so glad to hear that you’re doing well!@Bev – I LOVE online fireworks!@Too old, My man is not around, but after your comment I also turned it up to dance (and did a decent job) and I’d hope that if he WERE here he’d join in (or at least grab me for one of his fabulous kisses – I see us as Rose and Jimbo of Rose is Rose). I think we also have alter-egos.
