Does Joel and Rufus have their hybrid vehicle in reverse? They were farther along yesterday than they are today.(yes a mule is a hybrid).

I also made that observation. At the pace they are going it will take a week to get across the bridge. Art work is great.

That bridge is like something from one of those uneasy dreams where you’re trying to get to work on time, and everything is preventing it.

Some day that bridge will finally collapse and we won’t need to see it again.

That bridge sure does get a lot of traffic. You’d think the town or the county would have replaced it with something that was less death-trappy by now. I have a memory of a GA from probably the 1980s in which Walt is yelling, “Joel, I am NOT driving out on that bridge!”

Oh, and just as a side note: Drawn & Quarterly, publisher of the “Walt & Skeezix” volumes reprinting the GA strips from the beginning of 1921 through (currently) the end of 1930, has released a volume titled “Walt Before Skeezix,” reprinting the strip from its inception in 1918 through the end of 1920. Walt, Doc, Bill and Avery are there from the beginning, and it’s interesting to see Walt and Doc’s designs evolve. We also learn Avery’s last name—“Blimp.” Avery’s and Bill’s designs really didn’t change much.
