sigh Could it be that “Bliar” was simply naive and incompetent? Nah, no one could have been that stupid! There was an excellent cartoon by Schrank in the Independent a few days ago:

I think I may have mentioned Dave Brown before but here is his take on it. Rogues’ gallery. The Martyrdom of St Tony.

Dave Brown loves using classic paintings as backdrops for his cartoons. This one is of St Lawrence but I don’t know the original painter as the theme is reproduced by several classical artists.

Radish: For shame, I have yet to watch it. :p

M Henri, I couldn’t get your tinyurl to work… Is it one of these you’re pointing to? < – click there

OmQ R, clicking on the link I provided should bring you to a so-called «preview», which informs you of the full-length URL, so you can chose whether to proceed or no - you might have to enable previews to get it to work. But you’re quite right - the link is to Steve Bell’s cartoon of 27 January. The one from the 29th (http://preview.tinyurl.com/y8m2mkm ) is, I fear, less good-humoured….
