If you use RoundUp™ that pretty much takes care of the poison ivy, poison sumac and poison oak. Then you can replant after 10 days. I use a mix of red clover and timothy. Great CRP ground cover and you can let it grow and plow it under in the fall or get several cuttings in a normal summer. Great fodder.
One of my friends in summer camp used some handy leaves in lieu of toilet paper. I explained, “Harry, that’s poison oak.” He didn’t believe me until later.
