Not much of a fan of peppers, grilled or otherwise.

Next time you’re doing peppers, try nibbling a washed raw strip of one – it ain’t that bad!

Make sure it’s a red, green or yellow variety, not one of the HOT types.

    (And I’m no vegetarian, either.)

Better question: How many like veggies BOTH raw and grilled?

And then there’s Jalapeños, stuffed with cream cheese, rolled in sausage, then breaded and fried. Around here those are known as “armadillo eggs”. Not exactly vegetarian, but delicious!

I grilled cat food for Rudy once, but it stuck to the grill….

Love raw and grilled veggies. Janis’ comment is a riff on someone ordering steak: “Rare! Just knock the horns off!”

Deep fried Jalapeños. Just until the skin starts to peel. No stuffing. Lightly seasoned as soon as they come out of the oil.

Me neither. I like them raw and eviscerated.

Peppers or chilis? When he asks “peppers” I figure he’s talking about bells or some other sweet pepper. If he’s talking something like a Big Jim or a New Mexico I’d suggest seeding and veining them first, Janis. Heaven help them both if those are Lemon Drops or Habaneros.

The heroine in a book I just read, cooked a pizza she made on the grill…..Can you actually do that?

Yes,Varnes, you can. We grill pizza all the time. There are some nuances, so I’d suggest googling the recipe and instructions.

Almost no vegetable or fruit that tastes even half-decent raw is improved in flavour by cooking. Red/bell peppers most definitely aren’t among the select few – delicious raw, ruined by heat.
