The state of Texas is recognizing the right of a gay couple to get a divorce while still not recognizing the right of gay couples to get married. It reminds me of the comedian who said, “Why shouldn’t gay couple have the right to be miserable in marriage like the rest of us?”When gay issues can finally be set aside as a choice between individuals, perhaps politicians will find time to work on issues that actually effect the ability of the nation to grow and prosper, like infrastructure, jobs, etc.Respectfully,C.

This is just another attempt by Benson to legitimize an act that a lot of people find in poor taste at best to repugnant at worst. 10% of the world’s population is “gay” so the rest of us need this shoved in our as well as our kids faces? Some time ago it would have been as historic as that interracial kiss in the original Star Trek, that time for most of America has passed, though for a few it still hasn’t. For most of America we are used to same sex kissing..Those 2 owe their ability to be spontaneous to those who were murdered and harassed for being gay, what they did took no courage, unlike the sailor represented in the original art who braved kamakazi’s and all manner of horrific deaths to liberate Europe..Yes your right that some states there are laws that can make felons out of the 2nd half of the illustration, but those laws are not enforced and should somebody be wacky enough to enforce them, it would be shot down in short order. The country’s attitude towards homosexuals is changing as it once did for interracial relationships..It is inevitable and thankfully unstoppable.
