The Federal Election Commission has approved bitcoin and other virtual currencies as political contributions. (Man: Cuz: It's cool!) (Woman: Also, why not?) Politicians are struggling to adapt. (Woman: I understand pieces of black and green paper, pieces of black and green paper are real. How is bitcoin real?) How do they handle sales of access and influence? (Man: 30 minutes? I gave you a bag of dogecoins!) (Woman: Which lost 1/2 their value/ 1/2 bribe= 1/2 meeting= 1/2 favor.) Or vendors? (Woman: Maybe some defense contractor will take cryptocurrencies- but not me.)

Anyone who had money in the Mt Gox bitcoin exchange got a harsh reminder of that. Governments are cracking down on the exchanges for their business conduct.

Sorry, but I have my own pet peeve. Please don’t call it Mt Gox. It’s MtGOX. And please call it by its full name: Magic The Gathering Online eXchange, which is what it is short for. It really helps putting the whole thing into perspective.
