While it is unfortunate that this and other criminal acts like the kidnapping in Nigeria happen, IT is a Nigerian problem, and it is the Nigerians who should be dealing with it. But for some reason they seem to prefer not to.
Rogers does a great job hear of pointing out the facts. With friends from Africa, this is a history of centuries on the continent, and those “masters” from the continent to the north did absolutely nothing in the way of helping, and we on this continent haven’t done much better. It boils down to production of resources exploiting the natives, among others, from diamonds and uranium to oil, Africa has always been a point to ignore atrocities, until too late. Often because we didn’t want to see production decline.
