    The only viable way to Really get rid of stuff is to make a cross-country move…the more you leave behind, the cheaper the moving van… ;)

    We have a garage yet I cannot park in daughter has hers in as we cannot afford to replace sunroof incase of hail. Not full two car garage.

    I keep my car outside during summer and in garage during winter (so I don’t need to scrape it each morning). It was pretty amazing result, packing a garage full of chaos so that the car would actually fit in.

    A 3 car garage would be useful (if you can afford it). 2 bays for the cars, and 1 bay for the stuff.

    The second most important reason for having a basement — storage (oh, the first is for having someplace to go when the tornado siren sounds off once every 5 – 10 years).
