That’s called an ‘invasive Species’ and they’re ALL OVER the Everglades.
Between ones ‘let go’ by people who couldn’t/wouldn’t feed them anymore and the ones who escaped during Hurricanes/Floods there is now a Breeding Population of Burmese/Reticulated Pythons, and they’re moving north!

Guys! No yappy mutts! No kitties! Maybe we can round up the prairie dogs in the midwest. They’re cute but they carry the plague.

I hear a mongoose gets rid of snakes. Not too sure if they kill snakes as large as pythons, though.
