When did we become such a gun obsessed culture ? It just seems in the last several years has there been such paranoia that we should all be packing heat. People are afraid for their safety even in their own homes that they must have several guns. I find it absolutely ridiculous that people think the big bad Govt is coming to confiscate their guns. Unless your in a war zone the odds of encountering a gun wielding psycho is minimal. The ease as to how said psycho can obtain a gun is what’s scary.
To Dapperdan61; I’d have ask you to revisit the history of Nazi Germany in the ’30’s regarding “big bad government” coming to seize your weapons. OBTHW? Joe Stalin has to be thrown in there too !!!
I live in an area with ranchers and hunters, and almost every pickup has a RIFLE rack, often with a rifle and a shotgun evident. The Georgia bill, and the real argument, and danger, is about concealed weapons and hand guns, that do the VAST MAJORITY OF KILLINGS in the U.S. today, be it homicide or suicide.
Not the media AND GOP, the media AND DNC. If Democrats looked at the large scale shootings for what they are as opposed to an an opportunity for new gun regulations, there would not be so many people “on the fence” buying weapons. Prostituting the dead for more gun regulation has led to more gun sales.
