The SCOTUS didn’t say EQUAL RIGHTS were wrong, but that an affirmative action ban in Michigan that did NOT violate “rights”, rather “preference” didn’t count. I’ve always supported equal rights, and programs that assist persons to become qualified to apply, ARE “affirmative” action, but merely admitting folks to college, or a job, for which they aren’t yet qualified, IS not the same thing.

My guess is Mr. Summers is implying if Affirmative Action is threatened, so is Gay Marriage
