Mythbusters & Sons of Guns both use explosives to enhance impacts.I believe NBC Dateline did it once as well; but that didn’t turn out all that well for them.

Minus the brick wall and explosives, that’s how I taught my niece to ride. I’m too fat to run alongside, and live on a slight slope, so I just had her coast with her feet down to learn how to balance. Two hours day one, and on day two she picked up her feet and started pedaling. Of course, she was nine— rather late to learn, but I’m just an uncle.

Stick with a scooter…one foot close to the road…safe

The best way to teach an adult or child to ride a bike, if you’re mechanically inclined, is to take off the pedals and let them tool around. The pedals really get in the way for learners. Eventually they will start picking their feet up to coast and that’s when you put the pedals back on. Training wheels just make it harder. Only works with handbrakes.

So, Sedgie has a flair for the dramatic? I am not surprised, but I suspect Jarvis is horrified….
