    But you can load Windows on an Apple system because the same components are identical with a Wintel machine.

    Fire the strip’s research assistant. After the window interface concepts were conceived of at Stanford and Xerox, Apple developed it for their Lisa computer. Microsoft got their first look at a windows environment while developing applications for Mac. .There were windows at Apple before Microsoft ever heard of them.

    Could be worse: During his pontificate, Pope St. John XXIII was presented a plan for a new Vatican building and he wrote on it, “Non sumus angeli,” Latin (or perhaps Italian) for “We are not angels.” Planners didn’t know what he meant by it until someone noticed there were no bathroom facilities anywhere in the plans.
