For those who have trouble making out the text in the last panel, the words read “Coconut Macaroons.” They are cookies made from ground coconut.

‘Smatter, Monty? Don’t like macaroons? BTW, you look more manly with a growth of hair, both on your head and around your “chin.”

Well, could be worse… Even if he’s not too inept to start a fire, (doubtful) fresh meat would probably be spoiled already.Cheese too…..

But just imagine if it were, say, a whole case of canned string beans …couldn’t open ‘em and who’d want to anyway.

I don’t see a fire lasting too long anyway.

That would just my luck. And I’m allergic to coconut.

Friday the bank I use was having a promotion and had samples of coconut macaroons and they were fresh and tasty.

Isn’t the box label redundant? Macaroons are made with coconut. So Monty now has a box of macaroons with a double dose of coconut? Macarons, one letter different, do not have coconut. Unless you do a coconut filling.

Actually, macaroons were originally made of ground almonds, or so I’ve heard.
