^^^ Ding Ding! You are correct. That 77% number is NOT comparing same jobs, just overall pay. Anybody with half a brain knows their are sociological and biological reasons why in general women choose professions that pay less and put in WAY less hours into work over their lifetime. This is a completely contrived issue by the Dems during an election year to distract from their horrendous record while in control of DC the past 5 years.

I recall an episode of “UGLY BETTY”, where (as secretary) she went to the condo of her boss’s ex-girlfriend, who was making threats to her boss. This ex was out of it, and threatened Betty, setting fire to the condo with both of them in it! Her Boss, finding out what was up, rushed to the condo, to find Betty holding a fire extinguisher, having just put out the fire. She turned to him and screamed YOU DON’T PAY ME ENOUGH!!!

Robert Landers said, about 7 hours ago@ConserveGov“Normally speaking you and I do not agree on many issues. But this is one of those times where a relative moderate that sometimes leans to the left on many issues leans to the right” -—————————————————————Looks like civil minds can agree on an issue even if they disagree on many others. Good to see.I hate abortion, but I disagree with some Conservatives that think the government should ban it.I obviously, as my name implies, want less government and so we don’t need the White House intruding anymore on private issues. Most women I know would not for a second allow an employer to pay her male coworkers more if the same type and amount of work is being performed.Dems must think women aren’t smart enough to make career decisions.

In 2009 this is what the U.S. Department had to say about the “Gender Wage Gap”.

1.“There are observable differences in the attributes of men and women that account for most of the wage gap. Statistical analysis that includes those variables has produced results that collectively account for between 65.1 and 76.4 percent of a raw gender wage gap of 20.4 percent, and thereby leave an adjusted gender wage gap that is between 4.8 and 7.1 percent.”

2.“However, despite these gains the raw wage gap continues to be used in misleading ways to advance public policy agendas without fully explaining the reasons behind the gap.”

    http://www.consad.com/content/reports/Gender%20Wage%20Gap%20Final%20Report.pdf

Which leads me to ask if the problem has gotten worse since 2009 or is it just a matter the current administration trying to advance their public policy agenda?
