It’s Dihydrogen Monoxide. Breathing in just a little can be fatal and it is found in most peoples homes!

From the CDC website: Every day, about ten people die from unintentionally breathing Dihydrogen Monoxide. Of these, two are children aged 14 or younger. Death by breathing Dihydrogen Monoxide ranks fifth among the leading causes of unintentional injury or death in the United States.

Good one! That’s probably the most likely. I will usually here this in the morning in a commercial for the news. “There’s something in your refrigerator right now that could kill you – we’ll tell you in news at 11 tonight.”

Since the valence makes it stable, hydrogen oxide is sufficient – unlike H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) which definitely is unstable and will eventually decompose into H2O and O2.
