Nobody is acting normal in this strip. Ito’s mother gets introduced and Ito gets a tantrum because she is forced on him. Okay. I get that. But nobody has any questions, like where did she come from and what’s the story behind this? Ito just nonchalantly runs off and plays with the other kids? Everybody just accepts the fact that Ito’s mother walks in and life goes on as normal?
first, the Crisp household trusts Tarzan, if he says “this is Ito’s mom” than by golly, it has to be his mom; second, the 2 blonde kids are Crisp’s children, the black kid is the son of the foreman of that place. so if the Countess marries Crisp, she would have 3 kids, not 4(unless Mr. Crisp puts a new one on the oven)
Basta! Enuff already with this “Ito” c-rap!! Time to git steppin’ Tarzan, off to the jungle and back to Jane because by now you just know she’s gotten herself into some kind of jam…and I hope it’s not another “lost” brat! ;)> FamilyAffairOverAGowa!!
It’s amazing what Dr. Spock’s principles of childcare can accomplish when they are applied in hard-bound version to the rear end of a recalcitrant child.-Things have changed a lot since this strip was drawn.
