I try not to ever say “never,” but I have never seen anyone caught stealing with one of those thingamajiggys. Although I would set it off just to bother Burl if I could.I’m surprised they didn’t check that guy though, his coat was big enough to hide Joy underneath.

Happy Easter, all of you!!! There: I said I’d probably be back today!!

To today’s excitin’ strip, yes? O.K. you can give a guy dressed like “typical Billy Blue-collar” a pass. But when a guy’s wearin’ his Penn State warm-up jacket, ya gotta check, just to be on the merchant’s safe side. Can’t never trust them uppity college boys!! Oooooof!!

Happy Easter everyone! Lovely graphics 2old and Susan! 2old, your kitties look like a couple of mine! The tabby looks like my Mauzi, who, along with her brother Schnurli, is 15 years old today!

Hey Burl, sometimes the only thing worse than not getting what you want is GETTING what you want. I hope you’re happy with their increased level of security.

And of course we have those tags not removed at another store which beep at a new store even though they’ve been worn & washed several times. Saw that 9 or 10 times so far. Solution: Use different tech for each chain of stores and don’t duplicate it within a given radius. That way items from K-Mart won’t set off a detector at Walmart on the other side of town plus the tags self-destruct either after so much time or so many washings as appropriate. Would make loss-prevention’s job a lot easier I’d think.

Burl did not do jury duty this week, and hopefully, neither will I. I have to report tomorrow (and will take a book and lunch just in case). Everything else is fine.
