It is a well known fact that when someone is picked from the audience, they are usually a plant by the entertainer. They probably are sitting in the seats that were reserved for the person that was supposed to be “hypnotized”.
There is a difference between not wanting to be hypnotized and not believing it can happen. Often the non believers are the first to go. That’s because they believe it won’t happen and therefore put up no resistance that a person truly resisting would. I’ve seen it happen.
