Is this a play on the Navy’s habit of calling a toilet ‘the head?’ And he has ‘colon’ in a spray bottle. I don’t care what alternate universe this is, colon in a spray bottle would still stink.
Helps to know that “eau de toilette” means “toilet water” in French, and can be found on many a bottle of perfume and cologne regardless of origin. Colon (large intestine) is a homonym of cologne (an essential oil perfume diluted with alcohol). “Toilet” used to refer to everything you did to prepare yourself to be presentable to the public in the morning, and the name used to refer to the dressing table at which you would do it. It’s lost that meaning with the advent of whole-house indoor plumbing as people applied it to the porcelain seat you sit on for the morning cleansing of the bowels.
