I recall reading that here in the US they used to put crushed radium in dentures to make them dazzle.

The Moken people were amazing, I say were because more than 95% of them live in villages nowadays. They were a traditionally nomadic people who spent their entire lives living on the water. Due to over fishing by commercial fishermen their way if life has been all but lost due to greed.
