Dill: In the spring, the snow and ice mantling the jungle gym's upper slopes melts and gushes down the tube slides, turning the playground below into a vast floodplain. Alice: It's so beautiful! Dill: It's one of the great spectacles of nature!

Love this particular strip, especially the middle panel. Thompson is a genius.
