Oh, those types of kids. There was a girl younger than me who lived in my neighborhood and had a dad who was extremely wealthy. She demanded me to do folk dances on Halloween or else her dad would come. Over time, I grew to not care what her dad would do, so I stood my ground and that chipped away her sense of entitlement each October. It won’t always work, but you need to be firm with these people.

The reason we never see Joey again is because his dad blew through his entire life savings and his job to buy those skates, meaning that Joey actually died because he asked for those skates. Don’t get too greedy.
