I acquired a booth at the antique mall in Newport.Two days before i go on a 13 day, 10+ hour, work week.Tomorrow will NOT be restful.

My update on my campaign.

Today i acquired a booth at the antique mall in Newport. Its almost 4 feet wide and two feet deep. It is also towards the front of the store, within sight of the check out counter. The nice hutch that i was given will fit in it very nice side to side. with a little room left. That means that i will be able ti hang some clothing items on one side or the other, like my boss suggested. I already have some Hawaiian print shirts to put up there.I still need to find something for the hutch to sit up on. A short bookcase or sideboard. Im going to Bi-Mart in Lincoln city tomorrow to see what i can find that is cheap but will still work. I checked out Fred Myers and everything there is just a little too expensive. If worse comes to worse, i have some cinder blocks that i can make work. I don’t want to, i think that it would look tacky that way. I want to have a nice presentation.The booth is costing $55.00 a month with a two month minimum, except that they prorated the first month for me starting today.I put $88.00 on my credit card. $55.00 is a deposit and will be returned when i cancel the contract. Its for the malls protection. It protects them from deadbeats.I have $50.00 cash from my boss for next month. It will need to be paid before the first of next month.I hope this works. As i have said before, it is mostly a way to get word of what I’m doing out there. If i make enough to pay for the booth over the next couple/several months i will consider it worth it.At best, it may draw some interest in my campaign. At worst, it will be educational. It would be nice if i could keep it going through the summer and the tourist season.IF it pays for itself.I should also update all of you on the campaign itself. I haven’t do so in a while.I was thinking early this month that December would be a bust for me. What with Christmas and winter bills and all. Boy, was i wrong!Thanks to a handful of regular contributors i got $580.00 last month!Woo Hoo!Thank you everyone!As someone told me, It might take a while, but we will get there.Thank you all again!
