I remember Burns and Allen, Allen’s Alley, & Tin Pan Alley.I remember party lines and phone calls with a specific number of rings to identify the intended recipient.I remember Mr. David who made ice deliveries for our ice box, the bread man, and the milk man.I CAN NOT remember why I started this list.
I remember that we could fix our own TV’s. Get out that booklet to see which tube might be malfunctioning.
Bring it to Radio Shack and test it on the tube tester. If it failed the test, just buy a new one and plug it into the TV. Now you can watch that test pattern without it rolling continually. That used to drive me crazy. Do you remember that show “The Outer Limits”?
