    Now people will have to start saying something is the second greatest thing since sliced bread.

    Actually, I might go for this, if you could freeze the toast and microwave it to heat it up for use, and if you could guarantee that the frozen toast wouldn’t get moldy two days after you bring it home like loaves of bread usually do.

    My fresh bread stays fresh for 3-4 days and (depending on weather/inside temperature) I freeze when the bread might start to mold. To freeze, I separate slices slightly, so they don’t stick. My toaster also has a button for frozen bread but I like it just dry enough to have a good tooth and generally buy Oroweat “Double Fiber” or Sprouts “Cracked Wheat” because they are the best tasting densest types. I don’t need a spread as it is usually to mop clean the pasta or chili bowls.I don’t like it even held from one meal to another, because I like it dry, but not THAT dry.

    We still get amused at frozen Texas toast in the grocery stores. Even Charlie Brown could make toast (and cold cereal).
