I spend time in NJ every year, and have never heard a resident say “Joisey.” The actual accent sounds more like “jayzey,” and even that is way less prevalent than saying it like everyone else.

I’m from North Jersey, and my parents; I know people with Jersey accents but I don’t have one, except that I’ll say “Warshington” instead of “Washington” (so does my uncle). Go figure..And I haven’t seen any robots or self-driving cars around on my visits back, although a self-driving car in NJ need only know how to creep ahead a few feet every minute, and blow its horn.
