Well, at least it’s not La Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. It may be summer there, but it’s very near Antarctica. (I personally would like to go to Arizona for the winter in order to escape the Washingtonian cold.)

And here in South Africa we had a few days of sizzling heat but yesterday and today are cooler with rain, for which we are truly thankful. :)

That’s what I called yesterday. Only thing that makes sense.

So she’s never heard of Antarctica?

Looks as though Val would be used to Evie’s doing this sort of thing, and could spit out more than ellipses . . .

South Africa in the summertime – boy howdy!

I wonder if Arnold was the prime mover for Evie’s going to South Africa (more than probably)? Who knows, they might even get married over there! That would Really freak Val out! ;)

I agree that AZ is definitely the best place in the country in winter (and for me it is year round – we DO have mountainous areas if the heat get to us (only a few hours drive). I’m so glad I moved. My parents used to spend 3 months at a hot spring in Puerto Rico but I prefer to be around all my friends (and take care of the house).

Come to AZ. Nights are freezing!Find a bridge to crawl under, with the pidgeons. A cardboard carton will be too cold. You’ll be arrested as a vagrant, & your worries will be over.

Maybe it’s splitting hairs, but there are places that get more South than that while still stopping short of Antarctica. Not many, but some.
