Yeah!! American "foot"ball is played at least 90% of the time with the hands. Apart from kicking goals and starting one of the 3 “halfs” hardly a foot touches a ball.. They should rename it so as to unconfuse the Americans.

Neither American football, Canadian football, Australian football, nor rugby football are played primarily with the feet. Rugby was due to a schoolboy’s irresponsible prank, but ex-colonies? No explanation.
