We tend to think of stubbornness and pride as negative traits, but they aren’t always so. They can often be positives in the proper dose and context. For example, I know a woman who was born with cerebral palsy who once said that if she hadn’t been stubborn she would have never learned how to walk. But yes, being stubborn definitely gets in your way if you are just being so out of perverseness, or refusing to admit that you have been or done wrong.
