its not a drag getting old….you get to do the things you did when you were young and get away with it.

It will be quite a stretch for Carl to reach the Nirvana of sloth. Earl is almost in seventh heaven, but the slats of his chair block the final stage for him. He is sub-sloth, while Carl is transitioning in sloth motion towards that state of nothingness he aspires to, if one can say that Carl aspires to anything, that is.

The following comment (what it calls Materials) guidelines appear in Section 3 of the Terms & Conditions (same link as at the bottom of any strip, my text colors added for emphasis)

You shall not create a user name or screen name or upload to, distribute through or otherwise publish through the Site any Materials which are indecent, libelous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, harassing, contain expressions of hatred, bigotry, racism or pornography, or are otherwise objectionable, or that would constitute or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party or violate any law.Your Materials, user name and/or screen name will not disparage in any manner Universal Uclick, its Licensors, or their Applications, products, or services and sites. That has been there since at least March 5, 2010 (the last update).Including a reference to Dry in my screen name (ID) could be interpreted as disparaging to Universal Uclick; so, although I’m willing to help her, in any way I can, get the ban lifted, I have decided to remove it, before it makes me subject to banning — in case anyone was wondering why it is no longer there.

I am back within the reaches of the Internet BALLARD DEARS. I am sorry I missed RED’s birthday. I wished you a happy birthday belatedly on yesterday’s post, RED. I have some things to catch up on, so I will come back to visit later. I also want to look over RED’s Birthday and previous days to see what you all have been up to. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. Hi DRY!

I love my family, but it was nice this year to have a virtual visit with each of them (especially the lengthy group Skype).

Hopefully my own situation will allow me to visit more easily by next year, like Shika (glad to see you’re back).

Trudging through his pitiful patio, Carl’s worn flip flops skid along the old concrete which is really the remains of the aged and abandon drive way. There won’t be any shade for hours but Carl doesn’t care. He’s already thirsty, his bottled water is still lying on the floor, it rolled off the table this morning and since he didn’t pick it up right away, it’s now just another forgotten annoyance lingering in the back of his mind with so many others which will have to wait for their second chance. He’s too tired to read, but brought his magazine anyway, he’s hoping exhaustion will raise its ugly head just long enough for him to drift off; sleep would be nice, but unconsciously day dreaming is OK too. Shirley is in Toledo, it’s her third visit this year. Carl can’t imagine going anywhere where he would have to pack a bag. Tomorrow is probably Sunday and there’s some frozen dinners left in the freezer, too bad the freezer is in the basement, oh well peanut butter and crackers twice a day is OK.

How come everybody says “sloth” like it’s a bad thing?

I prefer to decorate the pickle just with edible gold spray (has no effect on the taste).

I feel very slothful at the moment. I am already in bed. Have been for 8 hours, watching movies and family photos on DVD. GOOD NIGHT BALLARDEERS!
