Phil: I'm actually starting to enjoy the cuisine now, sis. Elly: Even the coffee's OK. Woman: Excuse me, could you tell me where the x-ray department is? Phil: Sure! Go straight to the main atrium, then right, past the news stand, and take the yellow elevator down to the first floor. You know you've spent too much time in a hospital when the food tastes good, you can give directions, and people think you work here.

Or when the orderly who is taking you into surgery via the back hallways gets lost and you (from the gurney) can tell him where he went wrong and how to get to the operating room. Or when random medical workers all know you by name…

That’s kind of how I knew I was a bookstore nerd.. people kept asking if I worked there, I could give directions in the downstairs section, and the owner’s two black cats knew me by sight.
