Sounds good to me. With some homemade cookies for the hot chocolate. Later we can go to some hot buttered popcorn. And eventually , our fresh hot vegetable soup with home baked bread. Hey , it’s a rough job, but someone has to do it. :-)
Val, I hope your office lets you out early today for Christmas Eve. Absolutely love the little “snuggie” blankets and Alix’s tongue waiting for the hot cocoa. Merry Christmas to all!
Sounds like Toronto right now, except the fire is the only heat they have, and there’s no electricity to make hot chocolate. (I just got the edge of the storm, so lots of ice, but not power outage.)
Our family are blessed to be able to stay inside today – it was -4 degrees in Sheboygan County, WI, when we awoke, with wind chill like -10. (I know, folks elsewhere have it a lot worse!) It was 10 degrees when I emerged from Big Bad Box Store last night, and the wind was blowing. Whoa, MAMA! On Dec. 10 I left sunny Florida. My husband just spent three days in Barcelona and may be in india now for a wedding.
Yes, my daughter is a 911 operator and volunteers to work the holidays for those with little kids. We just find a day when we can all get together to enjoy each others company.

And get up ten times to use the bathroom because of the cocoa.

At least the sisters are not fighting, maybe found some common ground(hot cocoa, etc.).

Oh, I apologize. I want to wish the very best Holiday wishes to my all ‘fellow commenters’ on this day.

Thanks! My oldest grandson is a lineman for the Electric company. A lot of people act as it the power companies caused the storms.
