If you don’t know what he said, allow me: that someone should sh*t and p*ss in her mouth because she said our debt would make us slaves to China.

“…an intellectualy savy commentator she repeatedly proves herself a fool…”

On this particular point the Democrats and Progressives have no room to talk. You guys selected Joe Biden as Vice President. He is easily, far and away, the stupidest, most intellectually vapid, and moronic man to ever warm the chair of Vice President. That man opens his mouth and idiot comes out.He makes Dan Quayle look brilliant! Biden would make virtually anyone look like an Einstein by comparison. So, whatever else you might have to say about another politician, the Progressives and Democrats cannot chide them for being stupid when they have Biden as their shining example of idiocy in office.

Wow…I am speechless. If the libturds on here had one of their blessed lib women attacked by someone in the conservative media they would be defending her with their belittling comments and calls for firing until they turned blue in the face. Irregardless of what Ms. Palin has said in the past or what she stands for, she does not deserve derogatory comments as vile as what bashir said. Really, if someone like Rush said that hllary should have someone sh*t and p*ss in her mouth because she said our debt would make us slaves to China, wouldn’t you be aghast? Wouldn’t you have an uprising to have him fired? Of course you would, because that would be the “GOP war on women”. However if one of your beloved libtards in the media does it to a conservative woman, you simply turn the other cheek and pretend you didn’t hear it………..much like this toon portrays. No war on women for the libidiots…there can be no such thing!

That’s okay, you are lockstep with der commander in chief and continue to drink the koolaid until your dying day, so all is well in your little liberal heads. Continue to burry your heads and pretend that your made up utopia worlds aren’t crumbling around you.

“Everything else she’s done does, however.”

If you believe Gov. Sara Palin has ever done anything to deserve to have someone broadcast a desire that someone defecate and urinate in her mouth I’d appreciate it if you never visit my cartoons again. Your comments do not advance civil discourse and you can’t back up your assertions -or you would. If you retract I will not flag you. Otherwise go away.-ML

Sarah Palin could have been referring to the slavery that existed in classical Antiquity, when people in desperate economic conditions would sometimes sell themselves into slavery to try to attain a better position in life. Slaves could be freed by their masters, and often attained positions of great influence, like freed slaves of the Emperor Claudius who were accused of pilfering the treasury.

The capitalisitc framework of agreeing to sell your labor to an employer seems to suggest the legal context to sell your future labor to someone as well.

Anyways, slavery isn’t necessarily talking about plantation slavery in the Antebellum American south – it could be talking Roman slavery, modern sex slavery, debt slavery…. I hate it when people like Martin Bashir intentionally misread metaphors so they can unleash a wave of outraged insignation on some bete noire

He made what was an absolutely accurate comparison for “Caribou Barbie” that was a citation from another writer, that was “heavy handed” (but again, accurate) and yes, he did come back, like a gentleman, and apologize. That is something Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, would never consider. But, as little as I watch Faux, i do get the feeling that Shepherd Smith might be their one “face”, who does have at least a twinge of decency.
