Congress always has poor poll ratings but most people like their congressman which is why he or she gets reelected; it’s everybody else’s congressman that is the problem!.Obama on the other hand, as President, is a singular figure. I doubt that his popularity could sink much below about 30% or maybe a bit more. By Presidential standards a popularity poll rating in the mid to low 30’s for a President is essentially a vote of “No confidence.”
As Michael wme seems to be indulging in satire, I understand his reasoning. But you seem to honestly believe that the Rasmussen Reports or it’s founder, Scott Rasmussen qualify as liberals. I’m curious as to what brought you to this conclusion. Would you explain please?
Yes, of course polls CAN be made to come out with a predetermined result. That isn’t what I was asking you about. I wanted to know what actions/polls convinced you that Rasmussen, group or person, is a liberal. Are you unable to answer that? And as long as I’m asking questions about decisions you’ve made, what makes you think I’m a liberal?
And those of the Republicans (and especially the tea party types) are the lowest in history of any Congress also. In fact, president Obama’s present low ratings are still some 3 to 4 times higher than that of Congress!
And if the same kind of governmental shut down and/or debt limit shenanigans occurs as did recently, then I would expect Congress to almost go into negative territory as far as the polls go, And yes, I know that is practically impossible, but they could approach zero very closely at least! So, if the Republican Party is not to cease to exist, (and strangely enough, as a relative moderate, I do not wish to see that happen either) then they had better learn from their last mistake!!
Do not underestimate the left’s ability to be dishonest, nor the mainstream media’s ability and desire to campaign for Democrats and call it “news”, and absolutely do not underestimate the ignorance of the “low information voter” who don’t know Obama’s stance on abortion and yet are fiercely loyal to him..…and mostly do not underestimate the incompetence of Republicans, if the budget battle was any indication they probably have aides helping them to tie their shoes even if their shoes have no laces..Republicans need 2 things to win; apathy from the low information voters and desire for a change of leadership from the “middle of the road” voters that heavily swung towards Obozo the first time and not so much the 2nd..The fact that Obama’s poll numbers are still higher than Bush points to how successful the misinformation campaign has been.

“…ultra-left-wing liars Rasmussen…”-How do you figure?

But Rasmussen is a “conservative-leaning polling group” according to Time magazine.
Its founder Scott Rasmussen worked as a political consultant to George W. Bush in the 2004 election.
So, just how is it a “ultra-left wing liars” full of “Obamabots”?

Are you truly giving up commenting on these forums, or are you just avoiding supporting an argument you have no facts for?
