Not sure what that has to do with anything (as usual), but Obama has said:“More than 2,000 years ago, a child was born to two faithful travelers who could find rest only in a stable, among the cattle and the sheep. But this was not just any child. Christ’s birth made the angels rejoice and attracted shepherds and kings from afar. He was a manifestation of God’s love for us.”Or, “I wanted to host this breakfast for a simple reason — because as busy as we are, as many tasks as pile up, during this season, we are reminded that there’s something about the resurrection — something about the resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ, that puts everything else in perspective.”Or, “For even after the passage of 2,000 years, we can still picture the moment in our mind’s eye. The young man from Nazareth marched through Jerusalem; object of scorn and derision and abuse and torture by an empire. The agony of crucifixion amid the cries of thieves. The discovery, just three days later, that would forever alter our world — that the Son of Man was not to be found in his tomb and that Jesus Christ had risen.”You guys told me he was an Atheist or a Muslim.
Lincoln’s efforts united the nation, Obama’s efforts divides the nation.Lincoln united the country by using the army to crush southerners who chose to secede, rather than face a possible abolition of slavery. Are you saying Obama needs to do the same with the Tea Party?Even I think that’s a little extreme.
Lincoln also didn’t say “God” in the version of the Gettysburg Address that he read at Gettysburg and that Ken Burns used for his montage. It takes a conservative wing-nut to take that to Obama hatred.
Lincoln, the Republican president who freed the slaves.Yeah, he supported rights for minorities & opposed secession, too. 140 years later & the GOP has pretty much renounced everything Lincoln stood for.
But I don’t think the man has a real understanding or belief in religion. like many he can say the words but he doesn’t live them.Hmmm. so you’re not saying he’s an Atheist, he just doesn’t believe? Or he doesn’t believe the way you want him to?You’re entitled to your opinions, but I think we’ve moved beyond faith testing for public office.
On the 150th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, this Foreigner seriously asks if President Lincoln (if alive today) would support a nationally mandated healthcare system for all Americans.Just like every other country has.

Try ~30,000 in October and about 60,000 in the first two weeks of November. And that’s only in California.
