I have a story on this about my sister. She spent 4 years at the local collage to learn a trade as a secretary. Some of her friends had her confidence she could make a lot of money. OK, after collage she goes job hunting. I tried to tell her that the secretary field was a forever changing field and she would never be though going to school for it. Any way she tells the interviews all about how she knows all about how to use Word and Excel and such. The say back to her “So does my kid”. What she spent good money on learning in collage was being taught to in public schools for free. She ended up working in a convenience store to pay back a student loan. I guess no one at the collage pushed to the point across to her that most of everything that she learned would change or be out dated in 6 months. I do not know all the details as to the whole story but that is the basics of what happened.
