Sometimes these folk cures can work. I wouldn’t discount this medicine man too quickly. Besides, I don’t think there’s a lot of choice here unless there’s a hospital hidden somewhere.
BTW, I’ve only started reading this strip in the last 2-3 weeks after adding a bunch of “classic” strips to My Comics Page (just because), and I’m really enjoying the drawing in this one. Very good use of shading and other elements of b/w artwork. Kudos to John Celardo. I’m really liking the “Nancy” strips Guy Gilchrist is doing, too.
