Fitzroy discovered that he liked the taste of the seed bugs in the garden (they have few preditors among native birds because they normally feed on cotton (which used to be a big crop here). Since I feed wild birds, the bugs eat bird food (which – like the cartoon – made them very tasty to Fitzroy) Most native birds have not yet figured that out and avoid bugs with the big red X.
